Meet Emily

Emily loves to work with K–12 education businesses to help them craft and share their stories through expertly written and designed marketing communications. Before founding Spyre Marketing in 2002, Emily held copywriting and account management positions at several advertising agencies in North Carolina and Colorado. From 2002 to 2008 she handled all marketing communications for Quality Education Data (a division of Scholastic, Inc.) and assisted with the launch of their Creative Services division.

Currently, Emily leads the Spyre Marketing team in developing and executing targeted messaging strategies and marketing campaigns. Emily holds a Masters of Library and Information Science from Emporia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Appalachian State University. In her free time, she loves to read, eat doughnuts, knit sweaters, and ride her bike up big mountains—though rarely all at the same time.
