NOTE: ISTE has come and gone but you can still get a free marketing consult with Spyre CEO Emily Garner Sumner. Reach out and let us know what you’d like to chat about and we’ll schedule a Zoom with you.
The Spyre team is beside ourselves! ISTE, one of the biggest K–12 education conferences will be in our hometown, Denver, Colorado, June 29–July 2, 2024. We are looking forward to meeting up with old friends, meeting new folks, and roaming the exhibit hall to keep on the pulse of what’s happening in the edtech world.
Get Coffee and a Free Consult with our CEO, Emily Sumner
Coffee is a must-have to make it through the action packed days and nights at a conference. If you’d like a free cup of coffee along with some expert marketing advice, let us know! Spyre CEO Emily Garner Sumner would love to meet up at Vibe, one of our favorite downtown coffee shops just 2 blocks from the convention center. Here are just a few things Emily could provide recommendations and insights about:
Get Ready for a Great Time in the Mile High City
Attending a conference in Denver is a unique experience. Here are just a few insider tips for you.
- Pack a water bottle, a BIG water bottle. Altitude sickness is real and the number one way to prevent it is to drink water, lots and lots of water. While we know we just said it takes a lot of coffee to get through a conference, cut back on coffee a wee bit while you’re in Denver. It’s dehydrating and too much coffee can increase your chances of getting the dreaded altitude sickness.
- Wear sunscreen, even for short walks. Being a mile high means Denver is closer to the sun than you’re probably used to. It’s easy to get a sunburn just walking a few blocks at midday to grab a sandwich. (And may we recommend Snarf’s, one of our local lunchtime favorites?)
- Cheer for the home team. Colorado boasts SIX professional sports teams. Only the Colorado Rockies will have a home game during ISTE but you could take a behind the scenes tour of Empower Field at Mile High where the Denver Broncos play.
- Do the loop-de-loop. Yup, you’ll find roller coasters and more right in downtown Denver and an easy walk from the convention center at Elitch Gardens. The park is open until 10 p.m. some evenings so you can enjoy the thrills and let off some steam after a long day on the show floor.
If you’re headed to ISTE and have any questions about Denver — we especially love giving restaurant recommendations — please reach out. We’re happy to help!
